CFRI Governance

The CFRI has been in operation since 2001, but in 2008 became an independent organisation with its own Constitution and membership. Annual Reports have been published since 2002.

The CFRI is now a legal entity with its own Constitution, independent of other organisations. It is financed solely through the HSE. Offices are located within the UCD complex, but the CFRI is administratively separate from UCD and has its own Executive Council. The structure of the CFRI consists of four sub-committees, each of which puts forth members to the Executive Council. Officers are elected from the eleven Council members. The structure is designed to accommodate the multi-disciplinary teams who treat and interact with Persons with CF (PWCF), such as Consultants, CF Nurse Specialists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Psychologists, and Social Workers.

The following Executive Council was elected after the first Annual General Meeting of the CFRI on 5th March 2008:
